My first travel on a motorcycle (Crete, summer 1993)

Once upon a time, there was a simple primitive motorcycle - rather a commuting device - named MZ ETZ250. It brought me from the northern Greece to Crete Island in south. It was a reliable machine, although I always had a few spark plugs in my pocket. You see, its 2-stroke engine could flood the spark plug very easily. It was awkward in use, e.g. it's manual starter (?) was located on the left side. I had to ride off in order to start the engine, even in the middle of traffic. Anyway, it was my first "long" travel on a motorcycle and I could never forget it. Sometimes I feel that my internal inclination for travelling and risking on the roads is fading away. Five years ago I was a newbie in motorcycling. Since then, the spirit of a neophyte, that which was making me happy in those days is gone. Transalp is a much better motorcycle. But still I prefer that summer travel to Crete.
