Sunday 13-9-1998: These are snapshots from the last motocross world championship competition in Megalopolis, Greece. It was very exciting since world champion was determined just from the second part of the event. Stefan Everts (world champion of the last years) and Sebastien Tortelli (1st pic on the left) had to fight for the 1st rank, in order to become the champion (Tortelli finally won).
The following photos were shot using a 35mm SLR equipped with a 28-105mm zoom lens, without the use of a polarised
filter. As you see, I could use a much longer focal length if I could! Images are not processed for enhancement.

Where Megalopolis is located ? Just near the ruins of the ancient homonymous capital of Arcadia, deep in the heart of Peloponnisos peninsula.
Sunday 13-12-1998: A trip to Stimfalia lake, on Killini mountain. That is the lake where Hercules killed the homonymous deadly birds (from the ancient Greek mythology). Before reaching the lake, we visited the small admirable monastery built on the rocky steep slope near Nemea village (see photo below). Today, Stimfalia lake is relatively small but you can find a vast number of black wild ducks there.

A rough montage of two photos showing (almost) the whole lake.
